What color dresses not to wear to a wedding

The dress you wear to a wedding can be your best accessory, but with so many choices, it can be hard to know what color dresses are appropriate for the occasion. Here are some guidelines for picking out the right color dress for your wedding.

You should never wear white to a wedding. This is a no-brainer. Even if you’re not the bride, this rule applies to all bridesmaids and guests—you’ll look like a ghost!

If you have an important role in the wedding—such as being one of the bridesmaids or best men—it’s also important that you don’t wear anything too flashy or attention-grabbing. Your attire should be conservative and tasteful so as not to distract from the bride’s dress or other aspects of the ceremony.

If you’re attending as a guest, there are fewer restrictions on what colors you can wear; however, it’s still important to remember that weddings are about celebrating love and happiness, so try not to choose anything too dark or somber-looking unless it’s specifically requested by someone close to the couple getting married (such as if they want everyone wearing black).
