Baggy jeans can be super trendy, but it’s important to know how to wear them.
First, make sure they fit! Baggy jeans that hang off your hips will not look good on you because they’ll make you look bigger than you are. To ensure a good fit, try them on in the dressing room with a top that’s tight enough to show off your waist and accentuate your curves. If you don’t want to show off your curves, try them on with a loose-fitting tank top or t-shirt.
If you’re wearing baggy jeans with heels, make sure the shoes are tall enough so that your ankles aren’t showing when you walk. You can also try wearing high socks if this is still an issue for you.
If wearing heels isn’t comfortable for you, consider wearing sneakers or boots instead—they’ll give you the same look without making it uncomfortable for long periods of time!
But if you don’t know how to wear them without looking like a total weirdo (trust us, we’ve been there), then maybe it’s time to rethink your wardrobe choice.
Here are some tips for how NOT to wear baggy jeans:
Don’t wear them with heels unless you want to look like a clown.
Don’t pair them with a crop top or short-sleeved shirt unless you want people to think you’re trying to look like an extra from the movie Grease (and if that’s actually what you’re going for then… well… we can’t help).
And definitely don’t wear them with socks—unless you want people thinking about how gross those socks are instead of focusing on your outfit!
